Dazed and Confused about Jesus?

What’s wrong with these folk out here?

For the life of me, I cannot understand why “saved” folk are now all of a sudden confused about who Jesus is. Is He black? Is He white? Is He racist? Is He God? There are all kinds of new movements, new religions, new propaganda and new revelations. Let’s not forget the age-old CULTS that have always attacked the Jesus of the bible.

These groups appear to be bent on bashing the traditional antiquated church (which is not the church at all) and exposing the slick and greedy mega church pastors and leaders (who are not God’s pastors and leaders) for the sole purpose of showing corruption in the church to try and discredit Christianity as a whole.

Their goal appears to be to create a slow but steady exodus from the “church”. Their target, the once faithful people of God. Secondly, they want to put a stumbling block in the path of those yet being chosen by God. They don’t mind folk getting saved or coming to know God. They just don’t want folk to go to the house of God or start hanging out with the people of God and they definitely don’t want folk to listen to the man or woman of God.

We shouldn’t be surprised. The word of God has forewarned us.
2 Peter 2:1
“…there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly teach destructive heresies and even deny the Master who bought them.
2 Peter 2:2-3
2 Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of these teachers, the way of truth will be slandered. “In their greed, they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money…”

Saints of God. All local churches are not corrupt. Everybody is not a crook. Nobody is perfect but everybody in the church ain’t going to hell. Jesus shed his blood on that cross for the forgiveness of our sins. He rose from the dead and he lives today, making intercession for us and constantly pleads our case before the presence of the Father. If you have been born again through faith in his death, burial and resurrection then don’t let anyone trick you into thinking that what happened to you was not real or is not real by the rhetoric.

Jesus is not black. Jesus is not white. Jesus is not racist. Jesus is God. (God is spirit and anyone who worships him must worship him in spirit and in truth.)

When I personally turned to the Jesus of the bible from a life of sin and debauchery he accepted me just as I was. Early in life I tried to be a black Muslim, I tried to get in touch with my inner self and my native African roots. None of these things helped me. They gave me a lot of facts, but they didn’t give me truth. It’s the truth that will set you free, not facts. So, as a poor black kid from the hood, I called upon the Lord and he stepped into my life and I’ve never been the same.

I’ve now traveled the globe preaching the gospel. I have preached on 5 continents. As a former college dropout, I now have two doctorate degrees and I’m the founder and chancellor of a Christian School that has put hundreds of black kids into major universities all over the world. (From Notre Dame to North Carolina, University of Florida, just to name a few.

When I met Jesus, everything changed. I now employ over 200 full-time people within the various businesses owned and operated by the church. We now possess millions of dollars’ worth of property and operate a budget in the double-digit millions and have never even been late on a light bill, mortgage or payroll in the 28-year history of the Potter’s House International Ministry. I’ve never had a city, state, federal grant and never applied. I’m not subject to any man concerning my mission and vision.

We now empower people educationally, economically and socially through our many outreaches to the community who are not members of our local church. We feed the hungry, cloth the naked, visit the jails and prisons, care for widows and parent those that are orphaned. We do free auto repair, free home repairs, free moving services and free medical care via our healthcare ministry and so much more.

Through the preaching of the word we speak truth to power and never sit by when injustices are running rampart in our streets.
God said this through Amos:
Amos 5:23-24 NKJV
23 Take away from Me the noise of your songs, For I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments. 24 But let justice run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream.

My friends, God is not dead. The church is alive and well. None of us are perfect but all of us are not going to hell. God has a plan for the day in which we live. He is coming back for a church that is without spot or wrinkle. He’s coming back for a victorious church. He’s coming for a church that has endured persecutions and didn’t succumb to the doctrines of these new movements, new religions, new propaganda and new revelations.

Stand up saints of God. Listen to the scriptures:
1 Peter 3:15
15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it.

Worship Christ as Lord of your life. Jesus is still the way, the truth and the life and no man comes unto the Father but by him. Stand your ground and let the world know that you are a child of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Know what you believe but better yet, know in whom you have believed.

If you got this far reading this long post. Thanks for listening.
